The Toyota Corolla, the best-selling car of all time, has been given a facelift that modernizes its front and back ends.
Newly designed LED headlights, a new rear sport diffuser, a larger honeycomb grille, dual-tip exhaust, and a rear spoiler are all new to the S-Line Corolla, while LED daytime running lights are now standard across the board.
Remarkably, the 2.0L engine that drives the S-Line Corollas is now standard on the L-Line cars. The new connectivity system and touchscreen interface are included in all models. A new suite of active safety features known as Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 was also added to the vehicle.
Key Features and Summary
The 2023 Toyota Corolla is available in ‘L’ and ‘S’ trim levels. In contrast to last year, they now offer the same 2.0-litre engine with 169 horsepower. Check out this guide to the 2023 Toyota Corolla trim levels to see which one you prefer.
Looking at the trim levels beginning with the ‘L,’ it’s easy to decide to upgrade to the LE with the additional blind spot monitor and heated front seats for an extra $1,000. Moving up, you have the option of the LE Upgrade, which includes push-engine start, or the SE, which does not have a sunroof and is nearly the same price.
All 2023 Toyota Corolla trim levels include a number of standard features. All models come standard with wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, hill-start assist, and a spare tyre. All models also include the latest TSS 3.0 safety system, which includes several new features such as an upgraded camera that can detect road conditions ahead.

What are all of the 2023 Toyota Corolla features?
Exterior Features
All 2023 Toyota Corolla models include both LED headlights and daytime running lights as standard equipment. Steel wheels are standard on the L and LE, while alloy wheels are standard on all other variants.
The ‘S’ models feature a sportier body style with a broader front grille, a larger rear bumper, and an integrated rear spoiler. Both Upgrade packages, as well as the XSE, come standard with a power sunroof.
Performance
Seat Comfort
Only the XSE model has SofTex Leather seats, although the power front seats are standard on almost every trim level. Each trim level features a unique pattern on the cloth seats. For more information on the differences, please see the “Seat Options” section up above.
The 2023 Toyota Corolla features revised trim levels and updated powertrain options. The ‘L’ model’s previous 1.8-litre engine produced 139 horsepower, whereas the new 2.0-litre unit produces 169. This means that the engine will be the same regardless of the model you choose.
That said, the ‘S’ model has more customization options, such as an ECO mode, Sport mode, and sequential shift mode.
Comfort Features
All models now feature a new and improved 4.2-inch gauge cluster in addition to the 7.0-inch cluster seen in the XSE.
The SE, XSE, and XLE trims all get new headlights, and the rest of the Corolla lineup gets LED daytime driving lights. Both the SE and XSE get new 18-inch dark grey alloy wheels and a rear bumper.
One other thing to keep in mind is that neither the L nor the LE has smart keys or a push-button starter. Only the upper-level models and the XSE include steering wheel heating.
Infotainment Features
All new Corollas now come with a larger 8.0-inch infotainment screen as standard equipment, replacing older, smaller displays.
The latest version of Toyota’s infotainment system is attractive and functionally enhances Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with a wireless connection. The new Corolla has features that could be helpful if multiple people in your family take turns using the car, such as dual Bluetooth pairing and individual user accounts.
In addition, Toyota has allowed over-the-air update capability, so new features may be added in the future.
