There isn’t much of a price jump from the base LE to the XLE Hybrid trim level of the 2023 Toyota RAV4, which offers more standard features than the LE. The XLE’s perks include remote keyless entry, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, automatic high-beam LED projector headlights, heated exterior mirrors, blind-spot monitoring, and front fog lamps. The full list of features for the RAV4 Hybrid is available in our Trim Levels Guide.
The RAV4 Hybrid outperforms the standard RAV4 in both speed and fuel economy. The RAV4 Hybrid gets its power from a 2.5-litre inline-four gas engine and two electric motors, producing 219 horsepower in total. One of the electric motors drives the rear wheels, while the other motor and the gas engine power the front wheels, making all-wheel drive a standard feature.
The RAV4 Hybrid has a comfortable cabin with high-quality materials and a long list of standard features like automatic climate control and a steering wheel that can be adjusted for height and tilt. It is comfortably furnished, but functionality takes precedence over aesthetics. All the controls and buttons are conveniently placed, and there are plenty of cubbies and bins to store your small items.
The XLE trim comes highly recommended as the trim with the best feature set at this price point. Edmunds.com recommends the XLE Premium, which includes SofTex leather seating, larger wheels, and a driver seat memory system.
