The 2023 bZ4X crossover will mark Toyota’s return to the electric vehicle market, and its edgy design will help it stand out from the company’s gasoline-powered SUVs.
The Toyota BZ4X LE has a 200-horsepower motor and can travel up to 406 kilometres on electric power alone, but it is only available in front-wheel drive (FWD). All-wheel drive is standard on upper trims. The maximum DC Fast Charge rate for a FWD model is 150 kW.
Unofficial estimates place a full charge on a Level 2 charger at around 9 hours, while a DC Fast Charger should get you back to 80 percent in about an hour.
While it may not be the best EV in terms of driving dynamics, range, or charging times, Toyota’s bZ4X is still a good option as an electric vehicle because of its comfort, spaciousness, and sensible design.
