2023 is a carryover year for 4Runner, still, there are a number of changes:
- Heated steering wheel is now on every trim
- A new 40th Anniversary Edition is added with unique designs such as Bronze wheels, Toyota heritage grille, Bronze seat stitching, 40th Anniversary badging, and more.
- Solar Octane is now the exclusive colour for the TRD Pro, removing Lime Rush from the 2022 model.
- Lime Rush is now offered on the TRD Off Road, replacing Barcelona Red Metallic.
- Limited no longer comes in Classic Silver Metallic
- Trail Edition is discontinued for 2023.

Performance
The 4Runner’s strong 4.0 Litres V6 engines make it a joy to drive in almost any climate.
The TRD Off Road and TRD Pro’s Crawl Control and Multi-Terrain Selection are, nonetheless, excellent additions for frequent off-road explorers. Fox shocks and locking rear differentials are included to further maximize your investment.
Except for the Limited, where only 4WD is offered, most trims allow you to switch between 2WD and 4WD at the turn of a knob.
Exterior Features
All 4Runner models come standard with a sunroof and handy roof rails.
The TRD models are your only option if you prefer the hood scoop design. TRD skid plate, basket-style rook rack, and all-terrain Nitto Tires make the TRD Pro the most distinctive trim.
The TRD Pro also has the classic ‘TOYOTA’ text logo imprinted on the front grille, however this is also available on the 40th Anniversary Edition and can be added as an accessory to any 4Runner model.
