The will use the all-new e-TNGA EV platform, which Toyota plans to produce up to 15 battery-electric vehicles from by 2025. Toyota will invest around $13.6 billion in battery tech over the next decade. This includes a $9 billion investment in production, as they want to make more electric cars.

Yoke-Style Steering

Toyota has released further information about its planned electric SUV, the BZ4X, which includes a wing-shaped steering yoke similar to that of the Tesla Model S. There is no link between the steering wheel and the tires on a steer-by-wire system.

The driver only has to turn the yoke up to 150 degrees from side to side, with or without their hands. For those who are not interested in the yoke design, the BZ4X will include a conventional steering wheel and system.

According to Toyota, the yoke design will improve U-turns. The yoke design will first be made available to Chinese customers. At this time, whether it will be sold in additional locations is not yet announced.

Solar Roof

Along with the above Toyota BZ4X Specs, the car will include an intriguing power-saving option. A solar roof will be available as a choice. Toyota claims that with its solar roof, you may drive 1,800 kilometers of free sun-powered driving each year. This is great if you live in a sunny area and often park your car inside.

Interior Design

The vehicle’s interior is a one-of-a-kind combination of dials and screens. The instrument cluster, which is positioned high in front of the driver, has a unique design and displays information. The unique screen placement away from the steering wheel is designed to improve driver visibility.

The center console and the steering wheel are littered with physical buttons. The BZ4X doesn’t just rely on touchscreen controls. It has a variety of knobs and buttons for drivers and passengers to play with.
